Cauliflower Pizza Crust - Healthy Gluten Free Alternative

Cauliflower pizza crust 

2 cups cauliflower 
1 egg
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt 

Put 2 cups cauliflower in blender and blend to a rice consistency. They can also be mashed if a blender is not available.

Add all ingredients together.
Press into a greased pizza pan.
Sprinkle with spices if desired.

Bake at 450 for 15-18 minutes.

Add desired pizza toppings.

Bake again at 450 until pizza toppings are brown and cheese is bubbly.

How Toxic are the Products You Use Everyday??

When I read labels on products I feel like I'm reading another language. What's really concerning to me is when the labels on makeup and lotions say "call poison control if ingested". 

So who do I call when my skin absorbs it? 
What do these big words mean? What's really in the products that I use? Is it healthy?
Could these poisons be making me and my family sick? 


These are the question that were racing through my mind when I started reading labels.
I have found a website that makes it easy to find out how healthy or how toxic the everyday products my family uses.  www.ewg.org/skindeep/


You can find product info on more than 79,000 products - Knowledge is power.  Get more knowledge, apply the knowledge and lets get healthier together!!

Healthy Tasty Bruschetta


Bruschetta 

6-7 ripe plum tomatoes 

4 cloves minced garlic 
1 medium purple onion 
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons basil
Salt and pepper

Simply serve it on toasted bread cut in quarters.

Homemade Hummus

Homemade Hummus

2 cups cooked chickpeas
4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
Juice of 1 lemon 
1/2 cup olive oil 
1 red bell pepper, diced 
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon cumin powder
(If you do not have cayenne pepper and cumin powder you can use chili powder)
Salt to taste 


Purée all ingredients until smooth. Add water as needed to get a smooth consistency.

Miso Veggie Rice Soup - Promotes Detox!!

Miso Veggie Rice Soup - Promotes natural detox

4 cloves garlic
1/2 onion
2 cups cauliflower 
2 cups broccoli 
1 cup uncooked brown rice
1 cup miso soup mix (just add water to packet)

Cook brown rice
Steam vegetables
Mix brown rice with steamed vegetables together
Add miso soup
For extra flavor add gluten free soy sauce or Bragg's liquid Aminos

Detox approved, easy to fix and very filling! Yummy yummy yummy

Tasty Juice Recipes for Detoxing

Mean Green
#1. 6 kale leaves, 1 cucumber, 4 celery stalks, 2 green apples, ½ lemon and 1 piece of ginger.
#2. Handful spinach, 3 stalks of kale, 2 apples, small handful parsley, 1 lemon, and 1 cucumber.
#3. 2 stalks of celery, ½ cucumber, ½ apple, ½ lemon, small piece ginger, ½ green chard leaf, 5 kale leaves and handful spinach. 
#4. ½ pear, ½ apple green, handful spinach, han
dful parsley, 2 celery stalks, ½ cucumber, small piece ginger and slice of papaya.

Sweet tooth
12-15 strawberries, 1 pear, 1 orange (optional: add spinach)

Easy Breezy Cucumber Cooler
4 carrots, 1 cucumber, 1 stalk celery, 1 apple, and ½ lemon.

Cleansing Lemon-aid
1 liter water, juice of 2 lemons, 1 inch knob of ginger (finely grated or juiced)

Blood Purifier Juice
3 large carrots, 3 apples, small piece of ginger, 1 beet.

Yummy Green Juice
3 kiwis, 1 handful kale or spinach, 1 stalk celery, 1 cucumber, 1 handful parsley

Instant Green Drink
1 tall glass of water
2 teaspoons of barley greens or wheat grass powder
2 teaspoons of spirulina or chlorella powder

Green Smoothie
½ leafy green vegetable of choice, fruit of choice, 1-2 banana or avocado (makes it creamy). Add ginger, lemon or parley to increase taste.

If you don’t have all the ingratiates to a juice, that’s ok, use what you have and get creative. Just keep in mind that the juices or smoothies need to have at least 60% veggies and no more than 40% fruit. Fruit has a lot of natural sugar and is acidity. It can cause you to feel hungry sooner.
