Prepping for your Detox

Prep Work for our Detox!!! 

Day 1-4 you can eat anything you like as long as you are eliminating caffeine, wheat and sugar. (Be sure to read our blog on How to Start a Detox.

Water is the only thing we will be increasing right now. Drink a glass of water with lemon before each meal and you will feel fuller quicker. 


On day 5 we will add more fiber by increasing fruits and veggies.

Below is the groery list for items you will be using starting starting on day 5. A lot of these items can be found at Aldi, Reasors, Sam's or Wal-Mart. You do not have to buy everything on this list. If you don't have it then you don't have to add it to the recipes that we post.

  • Non-caffeine Herbal detox tea(peppermint,green tea, ginger, ginseng, chamomile)
  • Brown rice
  • Veggies: Celery, Baby spinach, Lemons, Cucumber, Carrots, Mushrooms, Almonds or walnuts, Onions, Yellow and Red Bell Peppers, Garlic, Romaine lettuce, Cauliflower, Beets, Parsley, Ginger, Radishes, Kale, Cilantro, Chard leaf, Kelp, Avocado.
  • Fruits: Apples (red and green), Grapefruit (yellow or pink), Pear, Papaya, Mango, Bananas. 
  • Fruits will be limited during the detox. We will be eating a lot of vegetables. We will be detoxing the whole body but your liver will love these foods the most. 

Make sure to get a blender or juicer.   Aldi's offered a blender for only $20 the other day!!  You blend everything in the cup and it comes in pink or green. Bed Bath and Beyond also has a juice blender for $99 and they have a 20% coupon in their weekly mailer. I think it comes in the Sunday paper.
